For Pixel 3, B-Reel helped Google to image how the live wallpapers should be to accentuate the refined design of the new phone and its new capabilities. The collections envisioned were going to be the same as previous years but our take on them was going to be different.

For Living Universe we wanted to focused on the beauty of our planet to create new scenes. The wallpapers range from the classic evocative dioramas, to delicates ceramic-like models of memorable cities that will be light with a real-time simulated sun.

We also wanted to create wallpapers that would be pieces of art themselves, so we let some drops of watercolor paint the water masses of our planet, around the user's location.

For Come Alive we decided that we had to create something that was truly alive, delicate and stylish. That's how we came up with wallpapers that were as delicate as dandelions or water bubbles, that you can interact with them.

The different data from the sensors will be translated into gentle breezes, or incoming notifications will give you a moment of delight. Other wallpapers will be soft and peaceful gradients, that slowly evolves at the same pace of your favorite tunes when being played.

As previous years, big part of the projects' effort was focused on the performance to get the best visual quality for the wallpapers but having the wallpapers consuming as much resources as a static wallpaper.
